I'm really loving my recent discovery of Randall Carlson, Graham Hancock and others about their theory of lost / forgotten technologies, which were far more advanced than what we have today.


This would be a topic I'd love to see in a DT curriculum.


Year 9 clocks. A functional learning display. A worked example of every stage. The teacher has to think like a beginner. It allows students to see the bigger picture. Provides scaffolding to the next stage. Allows concrete application of skill as well as reducing cognitive load.
